The apartment is located in the former Spread Eagle Hotel which dates from around 1777. The hotel was converted into apartments in 1994 and provides the benefits of modern living in a historic setting. Situated mid-way between the river and the cobbled town square this apartment is within two minutes walk of all main shops, hotels, restaurants, the river and the historic centre.

There is ample car parking immediately outside the property with further free parking in the public car park nearby. Fishermen may be interested to note that 'Tweedside Tackle' is next door and the Ednam House Hotel is across the road! If you do not wish to cook you can stroll to the Ednam in your slippers and take a full breakfast in style. Alternatively you can visit Mitchell's delicatessen (next to Tweedside Tackle) and buy warm french bread from the oven for a continental breakfast.
